Abstacts from the Northern Ireland Surgical Trainees Prize Day, which was held on Friday 14 November 2003 and hosted by Altnagelvin Area Hospital at the City Hotel, Londonderry. Thirtynine abstracts were submitted of which eleven were accepted for presentation on the day. There were six in the SHO section and five in the Specialist Registrar section. Winner of the SHO section was Dr Peter Mallon and runner-up was Conor Marron. Winner of the SpR section was Mr Damian Mole and runner-up was Ms Janne Bingham.
